Organized by the Young Perspective Club of İstanbul Medeniyet University, the “Career in Law with Perspective” program was held with the aim of increasing law students’ professional awareness and contributing to their career planning.
The program was conducted in two sessions. In the first session, the Legal Professions Entrance Examination (HMGS), which has recently become a significant topic in the field of law, was discussed in detail. In this context, law students were informed about the content, scope, and examination process of the HMGS, as well as its impact on legal career paths. Additionally, important considerations for exam preparation and the practical aspects of the examination were explained comprehensively.
In the second session, the career journey of a legal professional who had successfully passed the HMGS was addressed. During this session, the professional fields a law graduate may pursue after graduation were examined in detail. The processes of practicing law, serving as a judge or prosecutor, pursuing an academic career, and other legal professions, along with the qualifications required in these fields, were comprehensively evaluated.
Through the transfer of professional experience, participants gained valuable insights for their career planning. The program contributed to law students’ ability to define their professional goals more consciously and provided guidance for their career journeys.
